Lotus Temple is considered as one of the remarkable architectures of Bahai faith. Lotus Temple is situated at Kalkaji which is located in the heart of the capital of India, New Delhi. The design of the Lotus Temple looks like a half opened Lotus flower with 27 freestanding ‘petals’ which is made of marble. The creative work took about 10 years before it finally got a form and was open to the public. The team included 800 technicians, workers, engineers and artisans who worked meticulously to give realization to one of the most complex structures in the world.

The Lotus Temple integrates the artistic values along with the technological strain within the entire structure. There are nine shiny pools that encompass this gorgeous temple from outside. The lotus temple has the capability to accommodate nearly 2500 devotees and has contained nine doors that open in a central hall. The entire structure is made of white marble that adds to the wonder of the temple. It is about 40 meters tall encircled by nine ponds and appears as if the temple is floating like a Lotus flower in water.

The most appraising feature of this particular architectural masterpiece is the incorporation of the effervescent Indian history along with the modern engineering and architecture. The temple has to its accreditation being acknowledged all over the world as one of the most visited places in the world with approximately 50 million devotees having visited this beautiful temple since its foundation in 1986.

The beautiful Lotus Temple is open from 9 am till 7 pm during the summer but during winter the time will be changed accordingly. The temple is followed by four times Aarti in a day with a different interval. This sacred temple is open for all religious devotees. Devotees from different religious can attend this beautiful Aarti. Near about thousand of devotees visited this holy place in each year. Anyone can easily reach this beautiful temple as it is very approachable from public transport.
